Hilke Berger
Project Lead / City Science Lab
Hilke Marit Berger (Dr. phil.) is the Scientific Lead of the City Science Lab. In the cooperation project UNITAC (United Nations Innovation Technology Accelerator for Cities), she heads the Urban Academy in conjunction with the African Center for Citites in Cape Town. As an urban researcher, she works at the intersection of cultural studies and urban planning on issues such as practices of participation, questions of collective urban design and digital art. She has worked for several artistic and scientific projects, for festivals, theatres, universities and authorities, is active as a juror, lectures and publishes internationally.

Imanuel Schipper
Project Lead (until March 2023) / City Science Lab
Imanuel Schipper studied theatre and dance studies as well as acting (M.A.). He has worked for many years as a dramaturg for the performance collective Rimini Protokoll, with whom he has developed a contemporary form of documentary theatre between intervention and think tanks. As an assistant professor, lecturer and senior researcher, he has worked at international universities and art academies in the fields of theatre, performance studies and cultural studies. In his research, he analyses and publishes on concepts of theatre and combines them with aspects of design, urban planning, scenography and curating.

Jasmin Meinold
Curatorial Assistant
Jasmin Meinold is a cultural practitioner working in curating, publishing and art education with an MA in art history. As a producer/curator she has worked for the Museum für Photographie Braunschweig, Heidelberger Kunstverein, Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven and Kunstverein Ludwigshafen, among others, and has written for and edited several publications. She is interested in working conditions in the art world, co-creation and art as a socially engaged practice. As a member of the Fine Arts Institute Leipzig (FAIL), she investigate the latter in non-traditional art spaces such as the village, the prison and the shopping mall.
